JENNIFER GRANDE, host of the daytime soap opera “The View,” says her husband, husband-to-be Matthew Green, has been killed by police officers in Florida after they fatally shot him in the head in a confrontation over a traffic violation.
Grande and her husband-actor-producer-producers Benet Coleman, also a co-star, attended the funeral of Green last week, with Grande expressing sadness over the death of her husband.
She said her husband’s killing was not her fault.
“I think it is not my husband’s fault, because this is what I believe,” she said on “TheView.”
“My husband had a history of violence against police officers.
He had a long history of being violent against police.
And he has been violent against women.”
Grande also said that the deaths of her children, two sons and daughter, will not affect her decision to not be involved in her husband Matthew’s upcoming book, “The End of the Road,” due out July 22.
Coleman told the Associated Press that he’s writing the book “to share my life, my struggles, my joy and my sorrow.”
“The End” is a look at a life-changing event that led to Matthew Green’s passing.
Coleman is now raising funds for Green’s family, while Grande said she has been trying to raise money for her daughter’s mental health.
The pair also said they’re planning a show for this summer called “Dying To Be White,” which will explore their family’s past, their struggle to overcome racism and their friendship with a transgender person who is in the same boat.
Grandes daughter is currently undergoing gender transition, according to a recent Instagram post.
The two have shared a number of times on social media their love for their daughter and their desire to raise a family together.
